The Art of Journeying Through Uncertainty
Have you ever become so uncomfortable with uncertainty that you could barely stand to be in your own skin?
This rarely happens to me any more because I love the creative process associated with renewal and beginning again however big time uncertainty knocked on my door recently and totally through me off guard.
I observed how it was affecting me on a deep heart and soul level and I also noticed how it was affecting and lowering my business energy and vibration. Many routines that had always been enjoyable and easy became a struggle and a chore. My vibrational meter dropped down to 25.5 instead of the usual setting of 98.5.
Once the uncertainty left and clarity returned I decided to write a tips article on how to deal with uncertainty. I wanted to share with you what worked for me. I also interviewed two of my close entrepreneurial friends and discovered what their strategies were however every time I sat down to write about uncertainty it felt like a 'serious' low-vibration subject and the words just wouldn't come.
Thank goodness the Lighten-up-and-get-out-of-your-own-way Angel appeared and next thing I knew I was looking at a photo I took a few months ago and...voila...there was the image of the divine cure for uncertainty.
Wilma, the adorable 2 year old Multi-Poo and Taylor, the 12 year old wise Shepherd-cross are two of my greatest teachers. Before this photo was taken at the lake where we live, they were both relaxed and laying in the sun on the deck. Then a sea otter paid us a delightful and unexpected visit. I saw the otter before they did, so I knew of it's arrival and whereabouts. They, on the other hand, only heard the loud splash and immediately bolted to their feet with the uncertainty of what caused the disturbance.
Because they set their intention at birth to live a life filled with fun and adventure they chose to ignore the fear and adrenaline pumping through their bodies and instead rose to the challenge and took immediate action to check things out.
As fun loving girls they're both committed to expressing themselves authentically no matter what. They gave themselves total permission to bark loudly as they ran out to the end of the dock. They knew they had to sound ferocious in order to chase away negative energy.
Once they took their stand for clarity they saw the otter doing what looked like yoga on the next door neighbor's dock. They stood in their no nonsense poses, staring at the otter's playful antics and became amazingly still.
They know in order to transform uncertainty and to remove doubt you have to:
* get clarity on what you want
* give it your focused attention
* allow it to come to you...and
* take energized, bold, inspired action.
This sets the tone and makes it easier to create the space for possibility, to hand things over in a trusting way to the universe to do its magic and to be able to be still while you wait and see what happens.
Even though I've looked at this lakeside photo several times because it captured such a rare and precious moment, this time it mesmerized me and I was certain there was a message wanting to come through. It is reminding me to trust the process of life. Wilma and Taylor reflect how easy it can be to rise to the occasion and dispel uncertainty by focusing on what you want and staying true to yourself. These gals are the epitome of the Law of Attraction in action.
Synchronicity lead me to the photo and synchronicity also lead me to this quote:
"You need chaos in your soul to give birth to a dancing star. "
- Friedrich Nietzsche
Ahhh...giving birth to a dancing star. Don't you love that! Described this way it somehow creates a space and gives chaos a divine reason for being.
So what about you?
Is uncertainty or chaos stirring something in your soul that is longing to be born? Will it be a dancing star, a magic formula, or perhaps a stronger connection to your soul.
Whatever it is, pay close attention to the messages, images, sensations and clues that come your way. Acknowledge and embrace them as they often come through in the most creative, unexpected, wild and whacky ways. If you're lucky like me you'll have a Wilma and a Taylor in your life to teach you the fine art of journeying through uncertainty.
